About 7 months ago s8designs opened it first website. S8designs has been around longer then that. I, Robert Hurley started this small nonprofit company to do design for other nonprofit companies. I have also done some for other companies. S8designs is like a dream slowly coming true. I have work with a lot of people some do not like what have done. I have a lot of changes taking place on my websites all the time. I am currently work on the TTUSA website. I have a temporary site up for now. But it will change. I will also redesign the s8design site after I am done with the Taekwondo site.

Research

With all the new way to view the web it make it hard to make sure your site work with devices and web browser. So I have been doing a lot of research on what is the best and easiest way for me to do this. A lot of devices like smart phones do not run flash and that is what I have been using. Some of the newer smart phones do use flash but the iPhone. With the new version of flash that is coming in may you can export a flash file to an iPhone app. This way looks like the best way for me. I just have to try to get the new version of flash to do all of this. The new version of flash is not cheap. So I am praying that I can get it to help my design business grow.

Sick days

For the past two weekend I was in the bed with a sinus cold. During the week I was okay the go to work but I was working a little slower then normal. I still got a lot of stuff at work but for work on my websites had to take a backsit to the cold. I did not like have the cold cause I was unable to work on the ranch site, the taekwondo site, or a new print ad for a hair salon. I am feeling better and I hope to get some work done this weekend.

I was able to complete the Runnin WJ Ranch site. I still has two things to do before I can transfer the domain. One is to update the Events page and second to get approval from the owner of the ranch. If you want to see the difference between the two site check it out now before I transfer the domain. We always wanted to change the Taekwondo website and after it got hacked we can make the changes. So keep checking here to see when the new site it done. In the mean time I put up a nice splash page. You can check it out at ttusaonline.com.

Since there is a lot of snow here, I will be working on the websites. I plan to add two new sites, finish one or two sites, and work on a print ad. That is what my plans are but I bet they will change. With my Dad coming back from Brazil today. I will try to see how it was.

Hacked Site (UPDATED)

I got a text message after the football game about the Texarkana Taekwondo Site. I check it this morning and it looks like it has been HACKED. The site is on another server then the s8designs is. The Taekwondo site is still up but at a different location. Click here to get to it.

But some good news I had a little time to work on the ranch site this weekend. I got a new contact us link and I change the loading screen a little. Check it out and see for yourself. For a quick link to the ranch site click here.

Holidays Over, Back to Work!

Now that the Holidays are over I can get back to working to the sites I need to finish. In the part of the year I will be working on two project. One is finish the Ranch site and rework the TTUSA site.

The Ranch site is almost done and I plan to have the site done by February sometime. I need to add about 3 more link to finish it up. It is looking good so far. I also need to change over the domain. Then I think it will be finished.

The TTUSA site is nice but I want to a flash to the site. And were it is now it flash is not working. I plan to change the site over to me and create a flash site for it. I think for now the look will stay the same but later add moving buttons and other moving parts.

And that is my goals for the first quarter of 2010 and s8designs. I hope everyone had a great Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Ranch Site Changes!

I have made some changes to the Runnin WJ Ranch Site. I added a spinning wheel to the loading screen which looks pretty cool. I also changed the gallery page a little by add images to the links for photos and videos.

Holiday Time

With it being the holiday time of the year I have a lot of stuff to do. So I have not none much since the last time I posted. Since I also have a full time job I have done a lot of stuff there but not much for S8 Designs. I made a trip and have a great time. And I got to work on my photography skills a little. Whats going on?

The past two to three week have been crazy for me. I have done a lot of stuff at my full time job and stuff for s8designs.

I have made a 42 foot cooler wrap.
I have about 8 big 4 feet by 8 feet sign for the Texarkana area.
I have created another mail out for “Curves”/”HairCut Express”.
I have updated the “Runnin WJ Ranch: site a little.

So I have done a lot of stuff. But this week I am taking a vacation. To relax and think about what I need to do next. I hope I come back with a lot of ideas.
